So a couple of days ago we went to get "dunked" again, and unfortunately our numbers did were not a lot different then when we started. Even though there wasn't much change, I'm not going to let it discourage me. I've seen changes in myself and feel better all around- so i say its a success!
I've been going to spinning class Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for the last three weeks or so and actually found out that I've been doing the wrong thing. You're supposed to go to intense aerobic workouts every other day so your body has time to recover. So I've actually been doing too much at once! Haha go figure; that wasn't what i thought anyone would ever tell me!
I'm going on the show Monday morning and am hoping that some other girls my age might listen in and consider doing this with me some day! I think it would be awesome for anyone else who wants a change and is tired of sitting around and just waiting for results to happen-and actually doing something like HealthQuest On The HomeStretch!

Kara,
I wish there was a way to measure serotonin levels during this competition! You look better and feel better...and what we all learned last time is the effect on your body is long term. You are still burning more calories each day weeks and months down the road because your body has learned to be an efficient fuel machine.
So take great hope and pride in what you are accomplishing every day. It is a great and wonderful thing you are doing for yourself and for the rest of your life.

Enjoyed your interview! It's great that your are encouraging your friends to seek a healthy lifestyle as well! By your example, you are mirroring what it means to feel good about yourself and seek happiness and health through exercise and eating right! Wish I'd had a friend like that when I was your age!!! Keep it up!;) Cyndi
Kara, I'm looking forward to my daughter talking to you soon. I want her to do this next year if they really do a class for teen-agers. Right now she has told me "no way" and "don't like to exercise." The thing is, I know she will get excited once she starts seeing how good she feels. Continued success!

Hey there Kara!
Well, we are in the HomeStretch for our HealthQuest together - only 5 days left! I hope all the Roosters will be there for the few hours remaining at D-1 to finish hard and strong!
See you in the morning!
Love ya!
